Dr. James M. D'Amico

West Frankfort James M. DAmico DDS, 73, passed away on Wednesday, May 09, 2007 at 1:00 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Dr. DAmico was born September 15, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jim and Stella (Racine) DAmico. Dr. DAmico graduated from St. Louis University in 1958. Following graduation from dental school he practiced dentistry for 2 years as an Air Force dental officer in the Philippines before establishing his practice of 43 years in West Frankfort. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, Zi Si Phi, American Dental Association, Southern Illinois Dental Society and Southern Illinois District Dental Society. He is survived by his devoted partner of 26 years Mary Jane Davis of Marion. An Aunt, Uncle and many Cousins in the Marion and Detroit area. Preceded by His Parents, Jim & Stella (Racine) DAmico, Step-Father, Roger Boner, 3 Aunts and 1 Uncle. Private funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Father Richard Mohr officiating. Burial will follow in Boner Cemetery in West Frankfort. Dr. DAmico will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
