EARL EUGENE MIDGETT Marion Earl Eugene Midgett, 83 died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at 10:05 P.M. in the VA Medical Center in Marion. Earl was born 02/16/1920 in Marion to Guy & Effie (Fly) Midgett. He married Betty Ann Edwards, and she preceded him in death. Earl was retired from the Maintenance Dept of the VA Hospital where he started working upon discharge from the Army after WWII Earl was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1301, member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include: Two children Robert & Eileen Midgett of Oklahoma Dianna Tobag Hawaii Three Step-children Clifford Koonce, San Antonio, Texas Brenda & Richard Clark, Pittsburg Linda Reed, Harrisburg Fourteen Grandchildren Five Great-Grandchildren Close Friend Rita Nadolski, Ashley, IL Preceded by: Parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother and 1 grandson Funeral services will be Friday, August 22, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Gordon Lambert will be officiating. Burial with Military Rites by VFW Post 1301 of Marion will follow in Fountain Cemetery in Marion.
