Herrin- EARL EUGENE LOYD, age 52, of Fort Worth, TX, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 7:11pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 his residence in Fort Worth, TX. Eugene was born in Herrin on February 10, 1956, the son of Virgil Hubert and Edith (Edwards) Loyd. He was a licensed Registered Nurse. Survivors include his mother- Edith Loyd of Herrin, IL Two sisters- Deloris and James Priddy of Herrin, IL Jeanette and Don Cogdill of Herrin, IL Two brothers- Don Loyd of Hensley, Ark Kenneth Loyd of Springfield, IL Eugene was preceded in death by his father-Virgil and one brother- Bill Loyd. At his request, Eugenes body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy.
