Marion Earl V. Kelley, 97, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 11:58 P.M. at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Earl was born October 20, 1907 in Williamson County to James Tippy & Susie Kelley. He married Velma Garner on December 24, 1931 in Benton and together they shared almost 51 years of marriage until her death on November 10, 1982. He later married Lucille Key on November 18, 1983 and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2003.
Earl retired as a cement finisher, but he also loved to build and remodel houses. Earl was 75 years old when he built his last house. From the age of 10 Earl has enjoyed gardening; he especially loved to raise violets. He also pieced quilts on a sewing machine. He was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist church.

Preceded by: Parents, First Wife Velma Kelley, Second Wife Lucille Kelley, Son James Earl Kelley, Daughter-in-law Delores Kelley Elam, Granddaughter Lisa Gilley, Three Brothers Lester, Glen & Lawrence Tippy.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be given to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
