Marion- Edith Louise Pritchett, age 94, of Marion, passed away at 4:35am on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion.
Edith was born in Williamson County on November 19, 1918, the daughter of Thurman and Clara (Campbell) White. She married Harold “Jack” Pritchett in Cape Girardeau on October 12, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1983.
Mrs. Pritchett was a member of the Lake of Egypt Christian Church and a life member of the Shiloh Christian Church. Edith was a homemaker and previously worked as a cook at the high school.
Survivors include her son- Gene and Marcia Pritchett of Chatham; Daughter- Judy and Clarence Davis of Marion; Three grandchildren- Terry Davis, Dennis Davis, and Sara Vanhala; Nine Great Grandchildren; One Great Great Grandchild; Sister- Violet Spiller of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandson- Danny Pritchett, granddaughter- Angie Davis, three brothers- Leslie, George, and Howard White, and one sister- Lucille Fissell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Leroy Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, south of Marion. Visitation will be held from noon-2:00pm on Tuesday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
