Edith V. DeTomasi

Herrin- Edith Vivian DeTomasi, 99, of Herrin passed away at 8:10 AM, Friday, March 3, 2006 at Parkway Manor in Marion. Edith was born on December 13, 1906 in Warrior, AL to Horace W. & Ella (Harrison) Mason. She married Frank Bertane and he preceded her in death. She married Frank DeTomasi on January 20, 1980 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1998. She retired as a retail sales clerk and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. SURVIVORS: Step Daughter & son in law- Carole & Firmin Pierron- San Jose, CA Grandchild- Michael Pierron- San Francisco, CA Grandchild- Joseph & Margaret Pierron- Santa Clara, CA Grandchild- Paul Pierron- San Francisco, CA Niece- Marilyn DeTomasi- Herrin Cousin- David & Doris Woods- West Frankfort She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother; Bernie Mason and granddaughter; Annette Pierron. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 6, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery.
