Marion- With tender sadness we bid a fond farewell to Edna Pauline Spiller, 93, who passed away March 12, 2009, 11:20 PM, at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. Pauline was born on December 3, 1915 in Simpson to Henry & Texas (Smart) Waters. She married Clyde R. Spiller in Golconda. On April 26, 1966, she and Clyde, were involved in a tragic automobile accident that claimed his life. She and Daddy are together again after nearly 43 years. She will forever be a shining example of love, courage, and endurance. Mrs. Spiller worked as a beautician in her own shop in the past and was a member of the First Christian Church in Marion. Children and Mothers never truly part ---Bound forever in the beating of each others heart. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Bill Rucker will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 Am until time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home. Following the memorial service, Pauline will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, next to her beloved husband. Thanks to all of her friends and care givers at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Galatia. She will forever be in our hearts. She is survived by- Three children: Son- James Thomas Spiller & wife DeRonda of Evington, VA Daughter- Susie Van Hooser & husband Dwane of Ogden, UT Daughter- Clyda Faughn & husband Dwight of Prince George, VA Eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Texas Waters; a sister, Dorothy Lee Spencer; and her husband Clyde. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Paulines behalf to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home/ 800 N. Market St./ Marion, IL 62959.
