Herrin- Edward B. Haught, 86, of Herrin, died at 11:36 AM, Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Union County Hospital in Anna.
Edward was born on April 15, 1918 in Parma, MO to William Elwood & Ada (Freels) Haught. He married Wilma Summers on July 25, 1938 in St. Charles, MO. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2000.
Mr. Haught was a World War II Veteran, having served his country in the US Army while stationed in the Philippines. He retired as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons; Douglas Earl Haught & Paul Haught, one brother; Earl Haught, and two sisters; Pauline Wilson & Irene Russell.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Rev. Marvin Richardson will officiate. The Herrin American Legion & VFW Posts will perform military rites at graveside. Visitation will be from 11 until 12:30 PM, on Tuesday at Johnson- Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Illinois Veterans Home at Anna c/o 792 North Main Street, Anna, Illinois 62906, in memory of Edward Haught.
