Herrin- Edward Earl Karr, 87, of Herrin, died at 12:15 AM, Sunday, November 30, 2003 at Herrin Hospital.
Edward was born on March 15, 1916 in Herrin to Robert & Sally (Hardy) Karr. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the European Theatre during WWII.
He owned and operated Karr Motors in Herrin for forty-five years prior to his retirement. Mr. Karr was a member of the Herrin American Legion and VFW Posts and the Herrin Elks. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Herrin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Helen Brown & Roberta Schoonover, and one niece; Ann Earl.
The funeral service will held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Michael Neubert will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. The Herrin VFW & American Legion Posts will perform military Rites at graveside. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Monday, December 1, 2003 at the funeral home.
