Marion Edward L. Ed Will passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 12:37 P.M. at his home in Marion. Ed was born September 17, 1943 in Marion to John C. Chuck Will and Violet B. (Buckner) Will Throgmorton. He graduated from Marion High School, attended SIU-C and San Antonio College, Texas. He proudly served his country for three years in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ed worked at Jakes Tire Company for 20 years, Raben Tire Company for 5 years, Ferrell Hospital and Marion Memorial Hospital for 6 years. He was a charter member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Marion, where he has served as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon. He was a member of the Marion American Legion Post #147 and past member of the Marion Jaycees, Masons and the Hadi Shrine Temple. Ed enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, hunting, fishing, collecting sports cards and model cars & trucks, painting plaster and ceramic, wood working, playing softball and coaching baseball. Survivors include; Mother Violet Throgmorton of Marion Son Jayson E. Will and wife Dayna of Marion Daughter Julie Anne Cannedy and husband Jason of Bethalto, Illinois Four grandchildren: Jaylynn Nicole Will, Robert Dustin Cannedy Libby Cannedy Ryan Will Brother John W. Will and wife Cheryl of Marion Preceded by his Father, Brother Charles Will Funeral services will be Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Vern Goode officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
