Marion- Edward L. Yearack, age 77, of Marion, passed away at 9:35am on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Edward was born on February 14, 1935, the son of Steve and Kate (Fries) Yearack. He married Mary Campbell in Panorama City, California on March 21, 1959. She survives in Marion.
Mr. Yearack was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Marion. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Retiring from Southern Illinois University, he was a plumber by trade, but a farmer by heart. Edward proudly served in the United States Army from 1955-1958.

Two nephews- Kevin Yearack of Herrin
Danny and Jenny Allopenna of Roseville, California
Niece- Gina and Ronnie Dabney of Richmond, Kentucky
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Steve Yearack and Ralph McRoy, sister- Ismay Bullock, and Rose and Clyde McRoy who raised him after his mother, Kate, passed away when he was only six months old.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Mark Mohler and Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home and also on Wednesday morning from 10:00am-11:00am at the funeral home.
