Elizabeth Ludwig

Herrin- Elizabeth Ludwig, 85, of Herrin died at 12:45 PM, Friday, April 27, 2001 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1915 in Herrin, IL to the late Frank & M. (Hunter). She married Raymond Ludwig on October 19, 1934 in Dubuque, IA. Mrs. Ludwig worked at Allen Industries until her retirement. She was a member of Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school. SURVIVORS: Niece & Nephew- Marcella & John Miller- St. Petersburg, FL Cousins- Orville & Rosalie Barnes- Herrin Several other nieces & nephews. Her parents, husband, and three half brothers preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. David Hancock will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. A memorial visitation will be held from 10AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
