Ellen Dorothy Fosse

Marion Ellen Dorothy Fosse, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her home. Ellen was born July 16, 1925 in Whiteford, Michigan the daughter of Frank A. & Vida (Godfried) Hood. She married Edward Fosse on April 12, 1958 in Wayne, Michigan and together they shared over 25 years of marriage until his death on January 14, 1984. She was a member of the First Church of God and for over 19 years she volunteered for the Red Cross. Ellen retired from Kmart, she had worked in their Carbondale and West Frankfort stores. Survivors include: Four children; David Fosse of Chattanooga, Tennessee Sharol Fosse of Marion Rev. Melvin Fosse and wife Mary Anne of Montgomery, Alabama Charles Fosse of Union Lake, Michigan Six Grandchildren Two Great Grandchildren Brother - Beryl Hood of Germany Preceded by Parents, Husband, Edward, Sister, Henrietta Hood and Brother Otto Hood. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Mike Ebert and Rev. Keith Heberer officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the American Red Cross and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, IL 62959
