Elmer L. Singleton, Jr.

Marion- ELMER LEON SINGLETON, JR, age 29, of Marion, passed away at 3:05am on Wednesday June 13, 2007 at his residence in Marion. Elmer was born in Herrin on January 26, 1978, the son of Elmer L. and Donna (Cheatham) Singleton. Elmer was a painter and drywall finisher. He was a member of the painters local #32 of district #58. Survivors include a son- Kyle L. Singleton of Metropolis and a daughter- Evie M. Singleton of Metropolis; his parents-Elmer and Donna Singleton of Marion; one brother- Donald L. Singleton of Marion; two sisters- Erica J. Toro of Pittsburg and Angela D. Daniels of Mounds; Maternal Grandfather-LeRoy Cheatham of Marion; several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Johnson- Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, June 15, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
