Eloise Lang

Marion Cora Eloise Lang, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 7:50 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Eloise was born August 11, 1924 in Anna, Illinois the daughter of Leora A. and Vesta Brothers Watson. She married Edwin G. Bill Lang in 1949; he preceded her in death in 1980. Eloise was retired from Southern Illinois Schools Credit Union. She was a graduate of SIU-C and a former part-time teacher and had worked in banking, having worked at the Bank of Marion for many years. Mrs. Lang was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion where she was an interpreter with the Deaf Ministries Department. She was a former member of Marion Business and Professional Womens Club and Friends of the Library. Survivors include: Nephew Denver Lang of Marion Niece Marsha McMullin Ponte of Falls Church, Virginia Several Cousins Preceded by: Parents, Husband Bill Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Dr. Joey Brent officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Marion. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
