Emmerson Lee Phillips

E. Lee Phillips, 83, died Sunday, December 14, 2003 at 5:36 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Lee was born September 14, 1920 to Harry L. and Nellie (Doan) Phillips in Jackson County. He married Lena Mae Hendrickson on February 09, 1947 in Piggot, Arkansas and she survives in Marion. Lee was a retired field technician from Fabick Machinery after 37 years, member of Parrish Park Christian Church, I.A.M. of Herrin, WWII Army Veteran. Survivors include Son Ron Phillips and wife Becky of Marion Daughter - Linda Sue Morgan and husband Gary of Irving, Texas Daughter - Carol Jones and husband Monte of Marion Five (5) Grandchildren: Jim and Chad Phillips of Marion Samantha and Mallory Jones of Marion Donnie Forcum of Marion Brother Alfred D. Phillips of Carmi Niece Dianne Glover of Garland, Texas Nephew Mike Phillips of Fenton, Missouri Preceded by Parents Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery with Military Rites performed by V.F.W. Post #1301 of Marion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Parrish Park Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
