Esther M. Harrington

Herrin- Esther M. Harrington, 88, of Herrin (formerly of Westland,MI), passed away at 2:45pm on Wednesday May 25, 2005 at her residence in Herrin. Esther was born on September 16, 1916 in West Frankfort, IL to Daniel and Mary (Carson) Thompson. She married John P. Harrington in Detroit, MI in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Harrington was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army Church in Dearborn Heights, MI. Survivors include- Sister- Ruth Pearson- Herrin, IL Niece- Mary (and her husband William) Griffith- Herrin, IL 4 nephews- Thomas D. (and wife Susan) Pearson- Albuquerque, NM Joe W. (and wife Candy) Pearson- FL Richard Thompson- MI Raymond Thompson-MI Sister-in-law- Mildred Thompson- Dearborn Heights, MI 2 step daughters- Mary (and husband Arthur) Hansen- Granger, IN Patricia (and husband Theodore) Kovoch- New Boston, MI 5 grandchildren- Theodore, Daniel, Elise, Courtney, & Miriah 4 great grandchildren- Corey, Daniel, Conner, and Cody Preceded in death by- Her husband, John Her parents 1 niece- Billie Jo 4 brothers- Lawrence, Earnest, Fred and Tom Thompson Funeral Services will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday May 28, 2005 in the Chapel at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, MI with Captains Steven and Christine Merritt officiating.
