Ethel Fisher

Marion- Ethel Fisher, 95, formerly of Terre Haute, IN passed away at Parkway Manor in Marion on Friday, May 17, 2002 at 12:30 P.M. Visitation will be held at Mitchell-Hughes funeral home Monday, May 20, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Vigo County, Indiana on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Ethel was born on December 11, 1907 in Galatia, IL to Lon and Flora Tanner) Parks. She was married to Kenneth Fisher for twenty-five years. Prior to her retirement she was a motel owner, food caterer, department store clerk, and school crossing guard. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Terra Haute, IN. Her hobbies were to fish, garden, cook and shop. She is survived by six nieces: Betty Maddox, Mildred King, Virginia Grinnell, Wilma Lay, Emogene McDonald all of Marion, and Pat Buckley of Matteson, IL ? Three nephews Lindell Parks of Marion, Jack Wilkins of Reno, NV, and Carroll Parks of Gary, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Howard and Everett Parks, four sisters Fredith Wilkins, Gertrude Smith, Edith Sappington, and Beulah Levine, and one nephew Carl D.
