Ethel McKinney

Ethel McKinney, 86, died Sunday, December 28, 2003at 8:20 P.M. in Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Ethel was born August 17, 1916 to Andy and Molly (Garris) Davis in Marion. She married Earl McKinney on April 30, 1932 and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1982. Ethel was a homemaker and a member of Independence Wholeness Church of God in Scottsboro. Survivors include Daughter-in-law: Lela Mae McKinney of Marion Grandchildren; Harry & Cindy McKinney of Marion Jeff & Pam McKinney of OFallon, MO Deanene & Bobby Chitwood of Percy, IL Thomas & Retha Burdette of Alabama Becky Weaver of Alabama Thirteen (13) Great Grandchildren Ten (10) Great Great Grandchildren Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law: Loyd & Alma McKinney of Marion Sister-in-law; Afton Collier of Marion Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband, Son Harold Dean McKinney, Daughter Ella Mae Burdette, Six (6) Sisters and Three (3) Brothers Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Murle Jack officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
