Eunice A. Meadows

Herrin - Eunice A. Meadows, 96, died at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Park Avenue Health Care Center in Herrin. She was born September 9, 1905 in Creal Springs, IL to Charles and Carrie (Ford) Johnson. She married Hobert Givens in l922. in Marion. He died in l926. She married Harry Meadows in l942 in Marion. He died March 26, l978. She was the owner of a beauty shop in her home before her retirement. She was a member of the Herrin First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include: Daughter and son in law - Shirley and Martin Anderson - Herrin Three step grandchildren- Brenda and Bob Witters - Golden, CO Chip and Kathy Marlow - Montrose, CO Joe and Susan Anderson - Rush Springs, OK Step Great Grandchild- Jason Marlow- Ft. Collins, CO Her parents, husbands, two brothers, Harry and Fred Johnson preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2002 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Lee Lovett will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Herrin City Cemetery.
