Eva M. Bolte

Herrin- Eva M. Bolte, 86, of Herrin, passed away at 6:15 PM, Friday, February 15, 2008 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Eva was born on July 27, 1921 in Pulleys Mill, IL to Andrew Jackson Jack & Eva Jane Granny (Robertson) Brown. She was the previous owner of ABC Accounting Service for many years until her heart attack in 1997. Eva loved to work in her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed crocheting and always made family members afghans when they were married and baby afghans when they had newborns. She collected cookbooks from all the various places she traveled and enjoyed cooking. Survivors include- Son- Charles Kesler Daughter- Betty Graham of Herrin Step son- Kenneth Kesler of Herrin Eleven grandchildren Thirteen great grandchildren Four great great grandchildren Uncle- Cline Shorty Robertson of Cary, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters and one infant son, and three brothers- Hurle, Albert & Gilbert Brown. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Buncombe. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
