Eva May Wilds, age 89, died Sunday, May 6th at 6:55 P.M. at Marion Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wilds was a resident at the Fountains Nursing Home Care Facility in Marion.
Visitation was from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7th at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. The funeral service was at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial followed in Herrin City Cemetery. Memorials for Mrs. Wilds may be given to Third Baptist Church in Marion.
Mrs. Wilds was born May 19, 1911, in Herrin, IL, to Elmer E. and Ethel (Miller) Burkitt. She married Floyd Felts on September 25, 1926 in West Frankfort. He died in 1927. She then married Herman Felts on August 4, 1927 in Marion. He died in 1958. She married Harry Wilds on November 17, 1950 in Cook County, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, 1 son, William Felts, two sisters, Lena Ellis & Clara Burkitt, and 1 son-in law, Jim King.
Mrs. Wilds had worked as a Packer for Johnson & Johnson, a Retail Sales Clerk for Franks Jewelers, and a reporter for Plant Newspaper in Chicago. She was a member of Third Baptist Church in Marion.
