Eva Marie Pike

Marion- EVA MARIE PIKE, age 87. of Marion, formerly of Pontiac, IL passed away at 11:10pm on Friday, August 10, 2007 at Parkway Manor in Marion. Eva was born June 16, 1920 to Delbert B. and Tillie G. (Tucker) Green of McDowell, IL. She married Robert L. Pike on July 10, 1943 in Pontiac, IL. They enjoyed 54 years together, until his death on August 27, 1997. Mrs. Pike was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. Survivors include: One son and daughter-in-law- Terry and Sunny Pike of Marion,IL Son-In-Law- Michael F. Heath of Marion, IL Four Grandchildren- John R. Pike of Marion, IL Steven T. Pike of Marion, IL Margaret and Brian VanHorn of Marion, IL Megan Marie and Kevin Mitchell of Carbondale, IL 3 Great Grandchildren- Kara and Haley VanHorn and Seth Hickey Several nieces and nephews Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Bob, her daughter- Maureen Diane Heath, a sister- Clara Boyd, and brother- Kenneth Green. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Victor Long officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
