Evelyn Inez Moore

Marion- Evelyn Inez Moore, age 97, of Marion, passed away at 2:25am on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Carrier Mills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Evelyn was born in Marion on August 22, 1917, the daughter of Amos and Mayme (Watkins) Strobel. She married Herschel Moore in Saline County.  They enjoyed over sixty years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Marion. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law- Terry and Judy Moore of Marion Sisters- Wanda Mitchell and husband Henry of Marion Ann Strobel of Hill City, SD Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Herschel, brother- Amos Strobel, Jr., and two sisters- Ruth Cox and Virginia Stewart. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Elders Earl Smith, Gordon Lambert, and John Kuppert will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
