Carbondale- Evelyn Marie Linnabary, 86, of Carbondale, formerly of Bradley, passed away at 9:35 PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Evelyn was born on September 14, 1920 in Salix, IA to Alfred August & Melvina (Hubert) Remillard. She married Donald L. Linnabary on May 10, 1941 in Cahokia, MO. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1998. Evelyn worked as a clerk at Sears in Kankakee for twenty years and then a clerk at Shoppers Fair in Bradley until her retirement. She was Catholic and a member of the Williamson County Home Extension. She volunteered her free time for public television, the VA Hospital and local shut ins. She enjoyed craftwork and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. SURVIVORS: Son & daughter in law- Allan & Sharon Linnabary- Carbondale Son & daughter in law- Frances & Karen Linnabary- Milwaukee, WI Son & daughter in law- Edward & Marsha Linnabary- Carbondale Daughter & son in law- Dolores & Michael Safiran- New Lenox, IL Fourteen Grandchildren Nineteen Great Grandchildren Brother & sister in law- Hubert & Jeanette Remillard- Kankakee, IL Sister & brother in law- Delores & Pete Rivard- Bradley Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents & husband. A memorial service will be held at 9:00 AM, Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Private inurnment services will be held at a later date at Mounds Grove Cemetery in Kankakee. An hour of gathering will be from 8:00 AM until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Salvation Army and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
