Everett Ray Jearlds

Everett Ray Jearlds, age 78, of Marion, passed away at 9:05 am on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Everett was born in Williamson County on November 30, 1941, the son of Roy and Annie (Smith) Jearlds. He married Juanita M. Lawrence in Rosemont on November 4, 1961. She survives in Marion.

Mr. Jearlds was a Christian of Pentecost faith. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as the custodian for the First Church of God. He managed the Checker Gas Station in Marion for many years.

Survivors include: Wife - Juanita M. Jearlds of Marion

Son- Johnny and Tammy Jearlds of West Frankfort

Daughter- Tina and Tom Carter of Nashville

One sister- Margie Ketcherside of St. Louis, MO

Grandchildren- Johnathan and Shyanne Jearlds of West Frankfort

Special Niece and caregiver- Deborah Wylie of Marion

Several Nieces and Nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Aseugene Jearlds and Robert Smith, and two sisters- Aldene Pritchett and Dorothy Lee White.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Butch Beltz officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing is advised and the wearing of masks is encouraged.
