Fay Irene Horn

MARION- FAY IRENE HORN, age 88, of Marion, passed away at 8:15pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Johnston City. Fay was born in Hafer on March 14, 1921, the daughter of Henry and Lonnie (Pennington) Erwin. She married Elmer Theodore Horn in Marion, KY in 1938. He preceded her in death. She later married Louis David Horn in Harrisburg. He also preceded her in death. Mrs. Horn was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She worked at Norge in Herrin for seventeen years and was a cook at Mattingly Nursing Home. Survivors include her daughter- Carolyn (Horn) Scott of Johnston City, IL and family Son- Lindell Horn of Ferges, IL and family Step-Son- Valdean Horn of Creal Springs, IL and family Step-Son- Audrey Horn of Roanoke, VA and family Step-Daughter- Norma (Horn) Frey of Creal Springs, IL and family Step-Son- Orville Horn of Creal Springs, IL and family Step-Son- Bobby Horn of Tunnel Hill and family She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her son, Larry Horn, who passed away in 1967. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 1, 2010 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
