Frances Denison

Herrin - Frances Denison, 80, of Plant City, Fl formerly of Herrin died at 9:l0 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2001 at her son's residence in Plant City, FL. Mrs. Denison was born February 4, 1921 in Herrin to Jess and Rosetta (Pengilly) West. She married Will Denison on October 26, 1940 in Herrin. He died April 20, 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Thonotosassa, Florida. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, making crafts; such as needlepoint, and volunteering at her retirement home. Survivors include: Son and dtr in law Bob and Debbie Denison - Plant City, FL Four grandchildren - Dwayne Denison - Royalton, IL Jess Denison - Pigeon Forge, TN Chad Denison - Plant City, Florida Tammy Crump - Culver, IN Two sisters - Thelma Phillips - Herrin Jessie Kibler - Marion One great grandchild - Chris Crump - Culver, IN Her parents, husband and one son Don Denison preceded her in death. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Rev. Anthony Perry from Florida will officiate. There will be no visitation. Friends and family are asked to gather at the cemetery. Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is in charge of arrangements.
