Frances Joan McCall

Energy- Frances Joan McCall, age 78, of Energy, passed away at 5:10am on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at The Arch of Helia Healthcare in Energy.  Joan was born on September 17, 1934 in Beardstown to John Henry & Elda Elizabeth (Kleinschmidt) Saylor.  She was Lutheran and attended TrinityLutheranChurch in Herrin.  She retired in 1987 after working twenty two years in the Shipping Department at Smoler Brothers in Herrin.  In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus in Herrin and working jigsaw and crossword puzzles.  She most enjoyed talking with friends and spending time with her family.  Survivors include- Son- Bruce McCall and wife Cynthia of Herrin Step grandson- Brandon Milligan and wife Jennifer of Harrisburg Step Grandson- Austin Milligan of Harrisburg Brother- Wilbur Saylor and wife Tana of Springfield Sister- Joyce McDowell of Centralia Sister- Donna Christ of Las Vegas, NV Several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter- Myra Lynn Finney, sisters- Edna Kinison and Merita Twedell, nephew- Paul Kinison and ex husband- Joe McCall.  Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the Rev. J.K. Tiffin officiating.
