Frances Lena Venegoni

Herrin- Frances Lena Venegoni, 97, of Herrin, died at 2:45 PM, Friday, June 7, 2002 at Herrin Hospital. Frances was born on July 15, 1904 in Herrin to Louis C. & Louise (Merlo) Gualdoni. She married Frank J. Venegoni on February 23, 1924 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1979. Mrs. Venegoni was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Survivors: Dtr & son in law- Dorothy & Louis P. Marlow- Herrin Son- Robert L. Venegoni- Herrin Son & dtr in law- Bill & Jo Ann Venegoni- Kirkwood, MO Four Grandchildren: Barbara & husband Robert Lilianstrom- O'Fallon, IL Richard & wife Mary Kay Marlow- Johnston City, IL Tiffany Venegoni- Afton, MO Nicole Venegoni- Kirkwood, MO Sister- Kate Gualdoni- Herrin Sister- Rose Gualdoni- Herrin She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Charles Gualdoni, and two sisters; Eda Gualdoni & Mary Gioannini. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of service Tuesday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to San Carlo Cemetery or Cabrini Hall and will be accepted at the funeral home.
