Carterville- Frank D. (Pa Pa C) Cluck, 76, of Carterville, passed away peacefully at 5:10 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on March 20, 1929 in Detroit, MI to Emeral & Velma (Jacobs) Cluck. They moved back to southern Illinois when Frank was three years old. He married Dorothy Rosko on March 25, 1950 in Chicago. They shared fifty-five wonderful years together.
Mr. Cluck was raised in southern Illinois and went to West Frankfort Community High School. He graduated from Johnston City High School in 1946. He was of Lutheran faith.
Frank worked for Austenal Labs & Verson Alsteel Press Company, both in Chicago. After graduating from Thornton Community College in 1974 he returned to southern Illinois to attend SIU. He graduated in 1977.
He and Dorothy owned and operated Ma Ma Cs Pizza for eighteen years. He was a man of many talents; he built three houses, two in Tinley Park and his current home, which is completely solar. He also taught shop and drafting at Carterville High School.
In his spare time, Frank loved to garden & also became interested in making wine. He grew his own grapes. He enjoyed playing pool with his many friends throughout the years. He will be remembered by his family and friends as well as his many students. As their mentor he tried to instill in them the importance of a good education.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Natalie Cluck; and three brothers, Kenneth, Denny & Perry Cluck.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May, 18, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. R. H. Chitwood will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the funeral home.
