Marion Fredia E. Campbell, 85, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 9:42 A.M. at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Fredia was born April 12, 1925 in Johnson County the daughter of William Carson and Martha Pearl (Graves) Murphy. She married James E. Campbell on June 22, 1946 in Marion and together they shared nearly 55 years of marriage, until his death on May 24, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Apostolic Church in Marion for over 40 years. Survivors include; Daughters; Loretta Harper and husband Robert of Creal Springs Patricia Avripas and husband Dennis of Arlington, Texas Five Grandchildren; Gary R. Hearn Lisa Harris Tami Fowler Lori Ann McAnelly Melody Fosse Eleven Great Grandchildren Two Great Great Grandchildren Preceded by her Parents, Husband, Two sisters Alma Smith, Shirley Lamphere and Three brothers William, Billy Jo and Bobby Murphy Funeral services will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the First Apostolic Church of Marion with Rev. Ron Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 8 P.M. at the church. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family. For those who prefer memorials may be given to the First Apostolic Church. Envelopes will be available at the church or by mail to Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
