Fredrick William Zielke

Desoto- Fredrick William Zielke, 57, of Desoto, passed away at 6:53 PM, Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Herrin Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1953 in Northville, MI to Harold & Betty (Clapp) Zielke. He was a Veteran of the United Stated Navy and was self-employed for many years as a carpenter. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include- Daughter- Emily Zielke of Chicago Daughter- Sarah Zielke of Ashville, NC Grandchildren- Caleb Sharkey of Ashville, NC and Oliver Zielke of Chicago Brother- Ernest Zielke and wife Frances of Herrin Brother- Walter Zielke and wife Adrianna of Costa Rica Brother- Richard Zielke and wife Chi-Li Lin of Weaverville, NC Several nieces and nephews Close Friends- Debra Garro, Dane & Vera Coleman and Jerry Bear Teal of Bush Close Friend- Lyle & Caroline Barber of North Carolina He was preceded in death by his parents. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held. Arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
