Geneva B. Tripp

Herrin Geneva B. (Peterman) Tripp, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at 6:50 A.M. at Fountain Nursing Home. Geneva was born April 12, 1920 in Union County the daughter of Ed & Lou (Blessing) Peterman. She married Gordon W. Tripp in 1941 in Jackson, Missouri and he survives in Herrin. She retired from Smoler Brothers. In addition to her husband she is survived by; Two Daughters; Judith Ann Tonellato and husband Richard of Springfield, IL Mary Jane Tripp of Springfield, IL Two Grandchildren; Joseph William Tonellato and wife Gretchen of Jacksonville, IL Kathryn Jane Tonellato of Hammond, IN Preceded by her parents, baby sister and five brothers, Rosco, George, Bill, Joe and John. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Cobden Cemetery with Rev. Don Grammer officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
