Geneva Jo Logsdon

Marion- GENEVA JO LOGSDON, age 84, of Marion, passed away at 8:37pm on Friday, September 12, 2008 at her residence in Marion. Geneva was born in Eufaula, OK on May 31, 1924, the daughter of Ruford and Anna (Blackwell) DePriest. She married James M. Logsdon in Fort Smith, Ark on June 26, 1947. They shared forty-six years of marriage, until his death on March 18, 1994. Mrs. Logsdon was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed quilting, baking pies, and was a foster parent to sixty-three children. Survivors include four sons- James Warren and Myra Logdson of Marion, IL Robert Eugene and Rosie Logsdon of Marion, IL Ricky Wayne and Sherry Logsdon of Stonefort, IL Jeff Ray Logsdon of Marion, IL Two Daughters- Joan Logsdon of Crab Orchard, IL Nancy Jacobson of Marion, IL Eight Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren One Brother- Mitchell and Verda DePriest of Tulsa, OK Four Sisters- Billie Sue Barnett of Tulsa, OK Betty Ray and LeRoy Chapman of Tulsa, OK Virginia Morgan of Burbank, CA Lowetta and Jerry Samuels of Tulsa, OK She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers- James, Ray and Othal DePriest, her sister- Barbara Whitt, and one grandson- Jimmie Joe Logsdon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jeff Baker and Rev. Roy Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Shed Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
