Geneva Ruth Sellars

Marion- Geneva Ruth Sellars, 76, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 5:32 P.M. Geneva was born on March 26, 1930 in Crab Orchard to Loren & Iva (West) Angel. She married Bill L. Sellars on September 20, 1951 in Marion. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage until his death on February 4, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of Davis Prairie Crab Orchard Baptist Church. She also attended Third Baptist and First Freewill Baptist in Marion. She loved God and her family and now is celebrating her new life. She is sadly missed by her family and friends but all are at peace knowing her eternity. SURVIVORS: Son & daughter in law- Bruce & Mary Ann Sellars- Marion Daughter & son in law- Brenda & Tom Carter- Marion Daughter & son in law- Angie & Jim Price- Oakville, MO Six Grandchildren: Cherra Hilliard & husband Lance Haley Andrews & husband J.D. Buddy Sellars & wife Andrea Joey Sellars Derek Price Devinn Price Step Grandchildren- Kevin & Paige Price Five Great Grandchildren: Chance & Caden Hilliard Morgan Andrews Twins- Emma & Tristen Andrews Sister & brother in law- Thala & William Singler- Marion Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant sisters and sisters; Wanda Moore & Barbara Jones. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. John Howat officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 5-9:00 PM, Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to First Freewill Baptist Church or the American Lung Association and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home/ Post Office Box 39/ Marion, IL 62959.
