Genevieve Hudson

HERRIN- Afton Genevieve Hudson, age 88, of Herrin, passed away unexpectedly at 1:50pm on Tuesday November 8, 2005 at her residence. Genevieve was born September 13, 1917 in Goreville, IL to Almeda (Maze) and Joseph Franklin Henderson. She married Glen Hudson in Goreville, IL on September 28, 1933. Mrs. Hudson was a member of the First Church of God in Herrin. She was a waitress at the Giant City State Park Lodge for 26 years. Survivors include- Son- Donald (and wife Mary Lou) Hudson- Monticello, IN Brother- Paul (and wife Mary) Henderson- Rochelle, IL Sister- Janelle Wright- Marion, IL 4 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren Many nieces and nephews Preceded in death by- Son- Clifford Hudson Husband- Glen Hudson Granddaughter- Michelle Renee Turner Funeral services for Genevieve will be held at 1:00pm on Friday November 11, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the Rev. Tex Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
