Genevieve M. Hanks

Genevieve Marie Hanks, 85, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 9:15 A.M. at Marion Rehab. Genevieve was born May 15, 1927 in Williamson County the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Burton) Tanner. She was a member of Coal Bank Springs Baptist Church. Genevieve worked at Marion Memorial Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. Survivors include; Two Sons; Robert Hanks and wife Jean of Marion Lindell Hanks of Marion Daughter Helen Elders and husband Tony of Marion Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one on the way Two Sisters; Ruby Stilley of Valparaiso, Indiana Fern Elliott of Creal Springs Several nieces and nephews Preceded by her Parents, Great Granddaughter Brittney Williams, Three Brothers Roy, Jr., Lawrence and Vernon Tanner, Infant Sister Wilma, Son-in-law Kenny Sims and Former Husband Lyman Hanks. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Chitwood officiating. Burial will follow in Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
