Johnston City- GENEVIEVE MAE MARLOW, age 84, of Johnston City, passed away at 8:24am on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Herrin Hospital.
Genevieve was born in Weaver, IL on August 11, 1923, the daughter of Freeman and Mary (Beasley) Pate. She married Angelo Paul Marlow in Union City, TN. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2005.
Mrs. Marlow was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She loved to bowl and was in many leagues at SI Bowl.

Michelle and Danny Brymer of Johnston City, IL and their children- Shellby and Austin
Brandon Marlow of Herrin, IL
Denise and Shayne Hutchinson of Johnston City, IL and their children- Josh, Jaden, and Addisun
John and Sharon Carner of Johnston City, IL and their children- Kimberley, Jessica and Darin

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Angelo, her brother- Earl Pate, two sisters- Juanita Fisher and Emma Lou Betts, and one infant brother.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 8, 2008 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Friday, August 8, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
