George E. King

Herrin- George E. King, 82, of Herrin, passed away at 1:50 AM, Monday, February 15, 2010 at his home. George was born on October 13, 1927 in Eldorado to Albert & Lulu (Cradock) King. He married Eva Payne on April 8, 2960 in Herrin. She survives of Herrin. George was a US Army veteran of WWII. Once honorably discharged, he worked many years until his retirement from Maytag in Herrin. Survivors include- Wife- Eva King of Herrin Three Brothers Four Sisters He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. Private graveside services will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
