George Elmo White -- Age 100, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, formerly of Ypsilanti, Michigan, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 surrounded by family.
Mr. White was born November 19, 1911 in Creal Springs, IL, the son of Edgar Elmo White and Lizzie (Borum) White. He was married to Flobelle Rector on March 29, 1930 in Marion IL; she preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. White retired from Ford Motor Company. He was an avid Fisherman, and a loving caring family man. He was an active member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle, Flint, MI.
Surviving are: daughter Barbara Mosier of Grand Blanc, MI; two granddaughters, Deborah Brannon of Swartz Creek, MI, Patricia and husband Timothy Kilbreath of Burton, MI; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Julian White of Marion IL; many nieces, nephews, and many more members of his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Paul, John, and Carl; one sister Mabel; and son-in-law Charles Mosier.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday October 13, 2012 at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Viisitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
