GEORGIA LEE CHRIST (MA) Marion- Georgia Lee Christ, 92, of Marion died at 8:55 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2001 at Carbondale Nursing & Rehab Center. Georgia was born on December 12, 1908 in Harrisburg, IL to George W. & Mary Elizabeth (Abney) Phillips. She married Robert Christ on January 7, 1928. He preceded her in death in 1960. Georgia was a homemaker. She was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Marion for over 60 years. When she was able her free time was spent with her family, whom she loved very much. SURVIVORS: Daughter- Darlus Jane Nordmeyer- Pittsburg, IL Grandchildren: Chanda Lee Nordmeyer- Carbondale Chris Nordmeyer- Ozark, IL Great Grandchildren: Daye Ann Roach Gerald Wayne Downs, Jr. Dalus Geo Kulich Amanda Renee Green Adam Nordmeyer Great Great Grandchildren: Dalton Edward Green Alexandria Kaitlin Kulich She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers; J.H. Phillips and C.D. Christopher. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2001 at the funeral home.
