Gerald Griffith

Herrin- GERALD RAY GRIFFITH, age 57, of Herrin, passed away at 9:43pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Herrin Hospital. Gerald was born in Carmi on February 4, 1955, the son of Rev. Frank and Gladys (Sanders) Griffith. He married Brenda Kay Craig in Norris City on November 16, 1972. She survives in Herrin. Mr. Griffith was a member of the Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin. Survivors include his wife- Brenda Griffith of Herrin Daughter- Melissa Sue Griffith of Herrin Four brothers- James and Janice Griffith of Herrin Richard and Sandy Griffith of Braid Wood Joseph and Cheryl Griffith of Herrin Dennis and Amber Griffith of Norris City Several nieces and nephews Brother-in-law- Ronnie and Julie May of Fort Smith, Ark Charles and Claire Craig of Chesapeake, VA He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter- Brenda Lynn Griffith, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law- Carlos and Jessie Craig. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Mr. Mark Latham officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Norris City. Visitation will be held from 10am until time of the service at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
