Gladys M. Pyne

Marion Gladys M. Pyne, 98, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 6:00 A.M. at Parkway Manor. Gladys was born July 27, 1908 in Williamson County to Herman and Alta (Burns) McNeely. She married Anthony Pyne on September 27, 1942 in Geneva, Illinois and together they shared over 56 years of marriage until his death on November 19, 1998. Gladys worked for the State Hospital in Elgin. She was a member of McKinney Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include: Sister-in-law Martha McNeely of Marion Niece Barbara Mathis of Pinckneyville Several cousins Preceded by Parents, Husband Anthony, Two Brothers Clyde and Cline McNeely Funeral services will be Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will at McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
