Gladys Bernice Pulley

Gladys Bernice Pulley, 101, of Clarksville, Tennessee, formerly of Marion passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Gladys was born August 16, 1921 in Pittsburg the daughter of James VanCleve and Daisy (Deering) Hearn. She married James Dennis Pulley on July 4, 1942 and together they shared over 52 years of marriage until his death on January 1, 1994.

She was a member of Marion Third Baptist Church and had worked as a housekeeper for Grace Duty for 28 years.

Survivors include her Son - Rev. Dennis L. & Emily Pulley of Clarksville, Tennessee; Granddaughter - Krista Lynn and Dr. Nathan Wood; three great grandchildren - Luke Wood, Beth Johnson(Garrett) and Joanna Wood and several nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Dennis Pulley; her six brothers - Eugene, Clarence Robert, Raymond, Carl, Herman and George S. Hearn and her sister - Ruby Hearn Duffy.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Shackley officiating. Burial will follow Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
