Marion Glen Boyd Hunt, 72, formerly of Peoria, IL passed away at 12:35 A.M. April 12, 2002 at the Veteran?s Affairs Hospital in Marion, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, April 14 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion from 5-8 P.M. Services will be held Monday, April 15, 2002 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marion with Rev. Marlin Otte and Rev. Amy Ziettlow officiating. Graveside interment will be held at Beardstown City Cemetery Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given to Marion VFW Post 1301 or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mr. Hunt was born June 29, 1929 in Peoria to Glen and Mary (Faltz) Hunt. They have preceded him in death. He married Velma Anne Elenor (Schnieder) Hunt in Beardstown on June 14, 1953. She passed away March 12, 2001. Mr. Hunt had worked at Marion Memorial Hospital x-ray Department for 23 years before he retired. He and his wife owned and operated Granny?s Attic Antique Store. He also was a Charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors include: Son and Dau-In-Law: David and (Jo Short) Hunt of Marion Daughters and Son-In-Laws: Pam and Robert Dahlin of St. Charles, IL Cheryl and Gene Farris of Marion Teri and John Niemeyer of Marion Grandchildren: Laura Dahlin, Charles Dahlin, of St. Charles, Angela Farris and Bryce Farris of Marion, Chris Niemeyer and Devin Niemeyer of Marion, Chris Robison of Marion, and Kelsie Jo Simpson of West Frankfort. Sisters Alice Peters of Havana, IL ? Mary Burrell of Phoenix, AZ ? and Anita Monte of Yorba Linda, CA. His Son Boyd and a Daughter Crystal Hunt preceded him in death.
