Gloria Sue Penley

Marion Gloria Sue Penley, 70, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 5:35 P.M. at her home. Gloria was born July 2, 1936 in Johnston City to Harvey P. and Eva Mae (Rains) Harris. She married Luther Avery Penley, Jr. on May 3, 1957 and together they shared over 35 years of marriage until his death on February 6, 1993. Gloria was a homemaker. Survivors include: Four Sons; David Penley and wife Cathy of Marion Lloyd Penley of Marion Luther Avery Penley III and wife Faith of Marion Steven Lee Penley and wife Sheri of Johnston City Daughter Brenda Stone and husband Jeff of House Springs, MO Nine Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren Two Brothers; Harvey & Charlene Harris of West Frankfort Virgil Harris of Johnston City Sister-in-law Shirley Harris of West Frankfort Several Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Penley, Jr., and sister Joyce Watts. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Larry Steven officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
