Herrin- Goble Fogle, 79, of Herrin, passed away at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home in Herrin.
He was born on February 23, 1932 in Weaver, IL to Samuel & Margaret (Sailing) Fogle. He married Anna Belle Hoover on February 4, 1955 at Bryan Street Baptist Church in Herrin. She survives in Herrin.
During the Korean War he enlisted in the US Army. Once discharged, he returned to Herrin and worked as a group leader on the assembly line at Norge Co until his retirement in 1971.
Goble was a kindhearted and understanding man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking in the woods. As much as he enjoyed the outdoors he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include-
Wife- Anna Belle Fogle of Herrin
Daughter- Tracey Ann Beardsley of Royalton
Three Grandchildren:
Cameron Beardsley
Rachel Stroud
Michael Cloud
He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Marc Fogle, five brothers and two sisters.
As per his request, he will be cremated and private memorial services will be held by the family at a later date. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with memorial arrangements.
