Marion- Gordon D. Walker, 58, of Marion died at 6:45 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2002 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Merle Jack will officiate. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post # 1301 of Marion. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Walker was born November 9, 1943 in Marion to Dale & Eva Louise (Holderfield) Walker. He married Brenda (Mulkins) on January 6, 1967 in Marion. She survives of Marion.
Gordon was a coal miner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam Era. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Marion B.P.O.E. #800 and he considered the members there to be special friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, and one brother; Dale Walker.
