H. Allen Priest

Marion- HARRY ALLEN PRIEST, age 84, of Marion, Indiana, formerly of Marion, IL, passed away at 10:30pm on Thursday December 1, 2005 at Bradner Village Health Care Center in Marion, Indiana. Allen was born in Williamson County to the late Harry and Bernice (Springs) Priest on August 18, 1921. He married Dorothy Ranger in February of 1942. She survives. Mr. Priest was employed with Kaiser Chemical Company for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marion, Indiana, where he served as deacon, trustee and usher. Allen was a US Air Force Veteran as well as a past member of the American Cancer Society, the Masonic Lodge of Creal Springs, IL, the Rotary Club of Auburn, IN, and the Toastmasters Club of New Castle, IN. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Priest, of Marion, IN. Mr. Priest was preceded in death by his sons, Glenn and Paul Priest. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday December 6, 2005 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion, IL with the Rev. Harold Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Tuesday.
